The lake is currently closed on weekdays, but remains open on the weekends. Just one week left until the trout opener on Saturday December 14th we will re-open for weekday fishing at that time. Senior discount days will return on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Catfish are biting well at both ends of the lake. They are hitting on mackerel, chicken liver, and shrimp. Fall is a time of increased activity and heavy feeding for the catfish.

With the imminent return of trout to the menu this is an excellent time to employ a big swimbait in the hopes of enticing an over eager lunker bass. The largemouths gravitate toward structures feeding on trout, bluegill, crawdads, and whatever else they can catch.

Crappie are being caught in small numbers primarily in the early morning underneath the Crappie Float. They are most often caught on mini-jigs or live golden shiners.
