The trout are hitting along the southern shore from the South Shore Rock Pile east. Rainbow powerbait has been working well, along with small jigs and spoons.

Catfish are biting at the West Buoy Line. They are catching giant cats so frequently at the west buoys that now they are weighing them in two at a time. Sam Onn and Mao Vay recorded two behemoths Wednesday 41#s & 35#s respectively. The blue cats were caught & released using mackerel dipped in Hog Wild. These fish were the second and third biggest catfish reported this month. Lake Wohlford cats prefer mackerel, chicken liver, or shrimp.

Black Crappie can be found in the early mornings underneath the Crappie Float. They bite best on crappie jigs or live golden shiners.

Largemouth Bass are chasing jigs near rocky outcroppings.
