How's it going everyone! The spotlight is on Byron Klinger for this rad albino catfish he caught! We stocked lakes 3 and 6 last Friday with 500 lbs. of catfish each. Catfish are still active but with the recent heat the bite tends to slow down mid day. Getting here for the early morning bite or waiting for it to cool down a bit in the evening seems to be the best bet for catfish right now. Stinkbait, mackerel, shrimp, and nightcrawlers are some good bait for catfish just to name a few. Our last night fishing event of the summer is taking place tonight as well! If you haven't had the chance to make it out for a night fishing event yet you still have a chance!
The bass have still been biting but it has been slower throughout the middle of the day due to the recent heat. Morning bite has been the best. Surface temps have been sitting between 78 - 82 degrees. Topwater baits, senkos, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and nightcrawlers have all been seeing success.
For catfish enthusiasts the biggest catfish event of the year is just around the corner, Stockzilla! We will be stocking 3,500 lbs. of catfish between lakes 2 through 7. Stockzilla will be held on September 13th & 14th so make sure to mark those calendars as you don't want to miss out on this!
Our new restaurant, Top Water Grill, has opened! If you get hungry while fishing and didn't pack anything to eat you should stop on by to give it a try! We hope to see you guys out here!
