WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY AT 6AM. CLOSING TIME FOR SHORE FISHING IS SUNSET.
DUCK HUNTING STARTS IN DECEMBER THROUGH JANUARY
JESS RANCH delivered 1200 pounds of very good looking trout this week. Mt. Lasson will be bringing fish this next week.
Trout fishing has been very good this past week. Cat have also been caught.
Best Trout Lure: Rooster tails, crank bait
Best Trout Bait: Power bait, night crawlers
Best Spots: Dike, Lone Pine, boat
Notables:
- - Joe Peral and Noah of San Diego, caught 4 trout, the largest 1 1/4 pounds on a gold crank bait and nightcrawler.
- Joey Martinez of Chula Vista caught 5 trout and 1 catfish. the cat weighed in at 18 pounds. He was using mackerel at the So Buoy Line.
- John Doe and friends caught 20 trout on rooster tails and bumble bees in a boat of the wood dock.
- Michael Sr and Jr and Alexandra Krupner of Carlsbad caught 15 trout, the largest at 1 3/pounds on power bait at the North Shore.
- Ken Boss caught 5 trout in 35 minutes on orange power bait at Lone Pine. His largest was 1 1/2 pounds.
THE FREE FISHING CLASS IS HELD EVERY SATURDAY AT THE LAUNCH RAMP. MEET RANGER CHARLIE AT 10 AM.
THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS BEFORE A LAUNCH.
