Hello from your Lake Jennings! The trout fishing, this weekend, was as bad as it was good last weekend. The bass fishing was also spotty. Almost no visible fish on the beds but lots of cruisers. Cats are being caught all over the place, deep and shallow. It seems that chicken livers were the main course.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle Point.
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Nightcrawler/marshmallow combo.
Best Catfish Spots: The dam buoyline and the brush.
Best Catfish Bait: Chicken livers or nightcrawlers... use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: The launch ramp.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Crawdads, Ikas and jigs

Notables: 8-year-old Lauren Harris, Rancho Peñasquitos, 5-0 largemouth, Sentry Point, dropshotted crawler.
Prognosis: The hot weather that is forecasted for this week should push the bass over the edge. The fact that the weather should be stable should bring the trout back online. We will stock a 1000lb. load of Mt. Lassen's great (Sierra Bow) trout this Tuesday. And yes, we'll be at the Fred Hall Show at Del Mar. Come by and say hi.
Water Temperature: 61 degrees on the surface.
Current Schedule: Lake Jennings will be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

FREE Fishing Classes Open to the Public!
Lake Jennings Fishing University will hold a fishing class this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The classes concentrate on what is working best. This week's class will talk about trout fishing. Most importantly, the classes are FREE! Ranger Hugh will be the professor.

Hello from your Lake Jennings! The trout fishing is the best of the year. Cactus Patch, Eagle Point and Shadow Cove produced limits. Trolling has been poor, but chucking silver Kastmasters in those spots have also been productive. The bass are definitely staging. A few are in shallow looking but not on nests. The majority of fish are being caught in 15' to 25' of water. Dropshoting and throwing Ikas. Greens, browns and morning dawn all have been effective colors. An interesting pattern showed for......
