The 3/4-day boat SAN DIEGO as of noon today had seven 20-30 pound yellowtail on board and seeing good schools of fish. "YO-yo" fishing has been the preferred method but today's fish were primarily surface iron and fly-lined sardine fish.

Just got of the vhf with Captain RJ Hudson aboard the New Seaforth. He saw a nice school of 20-30lb yellowtail in La Jolla. The San Diego fishing Mexican Waters also saw nice schools of yellowtail, losing a nice fish at gaff. This is a great sign of things to come. We have 1/2 and 3/4 day trips departing daily. ......
