Pat Cavanaugh called in with a report from the Pacific Dawn 1.5 Day Trip, "We had a Day and one-half trip with 18 Passengers. We ran down about 120 to 130 miles. The fish are a little closer than they have been, that makes it a more reasonable Day and one-half trip. It is actually just about perfect now. We had real nice fishing yesterday most of which came upon kelp patties. We had limits of Dorado, 102 or 103 mixed Yellowfin and Bluefin tuna. So overall we had an excellent day of fishing.
"We never did get down to where the "hot" area is, where the Yellowfin tuna continues to be very, very good. A few miles down the road but we never did get that far. Anyway things are really looking good for the 2 Day and Day and one-half trips, very good actually.
"We have 2 Day and one-half trips coming up next week. So if anybody is interested it will be the last chance to get out with us this season. The first one fishes September 27th, the second one fishes September 29th. Both of those are 1.5 Day trips, ultra limited load. They can be booked through Fisherman's Landing (619) 221-8500. Don't miss that opportunity guys, fishing continues to be good, I don't see any reason why it is going to change. Plenty of fish down there. Lots of Dorado, Yellowtail, Yellowfin and Bluefin."
