Water Level: Low level, private water craft are currently banned.

In order to protect Wohlford from invasive exotic Quagga mussels, there is still a temporary ban on private water craft and equipment that could have been exposed to mussels. Restricted equipment includes private boats, canoes, kayaks, float tubes, trolling motors, fish finders, anchors, and other equipment that contacts the water.

Lake Wohlford is offering $20 all day motorboats to seniors on Tuesdays and to active military on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

The trout fishing remains good on the southern side of the lake, and should improve in areas like Boat Dock Cove and Senior Shoreline following Wednesday's plant. Paul Eddo of Escondido had the biggest trout of the week at 7.60#s caught in Oakvale Cove on rainbow powerbait. Powerbaits & powerworms (greens and yellows) along with inflated nightcrawlers have been the preferred baits.

The bass have moved in to spawn and are biting in earnest. Phaykhily Saykam of Escondido caught and released a 7.25# Bass in Oakvale cove on Tuesday on a nightcrawler. Richard Fridell of Escondido caught and released a 5.45# Bass Monday on pumpkin colored plastic worm at Bass Point. Bass can be found around structure and bite in the early mornings and late afternoons.

The warmer water temperatures are improving the catfish bite. Jeff Greer of Escondido weighed in an 11.45# catfish he caught at the West Buoy Line on an anchovy.
