June 2, saw the El Cajon Ford Night Series Bass Tournament take place at Lower Otay Reservoir. Forty boats and 80 anglers participated. The results are as follows:
First Place: John Blake and Gene Collins with 13.81 lbs.
Second Place: Andy Paluczak and Bryan Sturm with 13.68 lbs.
Third Place: John Cassidy and Greg Miser 13.59 lbs.
Fourth Place: Donald and Danny Riese 13.58 lbs.

This was the first night tournament of 2012.

General fishing resumed at Lower Otay on Sunday and Catfish in the 8 to 14 lb. range were biting by the rock pile. The Crappie and Redear bite was also good. The Bass bite slowed on Sunday.
