Bluegill are biting on wax and mealworms. Crappie are biting on nibbles and mealworms. Bass are biting on topwaters, crank baits and floating mice. Several large Catfish were taken on Mackerel. On July 8, 2012
Bluegill are still biting in Harveys Arm. The Crappie bite is good and several Catfish were caught in the 8 to 10 lb. range near the Rock Pile and in front of the Rowing pier on nightcrawlers & mackerel.
July 11, 2012
Lots of Bluegill stringers were caught containing 20 to 25 fish. The Crppie bite slowed somewhat. The Catfish bite is good if you know when to look. The Cats are biting on several baits. To name the best, chicken liver, anchovies or mackerel. The Bass bite is very good on floating mice, crank baits and plastic worms. The Bass Ackwards Club Tournament included 9 boats, 18 Anglers. They caught a total of 48 Largemouth Bass weighing from 1.54 lbs. to 3 lbs.
