Trout Still some trout out there near the dam. Over the past week a few rainbows showed up in a few anglers creels.
Bass The Large-Mouth are continuing to be found throughout the lake. Plenty of 1 and 2 pounders were reported; all but a few were caught and released. Larger bass are on the move as 8 to 11 pounders are being reported. Brian Scott continues his onslaught catch and releasing his 15 all on plastics. Barry Benson, Kevin McClaran and Lance Holden took a boat out to their favorite haunts and combined a total of 22 bass between 1 and 3lbs, 1 catfish and one carp. All but the carp were released. Their 'secret' was using green senko. Brian Fansher fooled an 8lb 4oz large mouth with a senko for a total 16lb 8oz stringer.
Catfish The Catfish have continued to please anglers with many limits reported. Nightcrawlers are the best bet, and then comes Chicken Livers as the second best bait. One of the better spots was near the boulders at Cabin cove. Luck and Tom Finan, Descanso, and Norm, Lakeside, all took their limits with the largest a 4lber using mackerel near the boat launch. Blue Gill - Geezer cove may provide a few opportunities of success for Bluegills. Cabin cove might also fare well with small hooks and segments of Nightcrawlers. Caroline and Katherine Do, Santee, brought in 5lbs 4oz worth with meal worms in Geezer cove.
Crappie The Crappie have been scarce the last few weeks.
Carp These fish are mouthing the surface parading around the boat dock. Other stories are of them doing a dancing ritual bobbing out of the water prairie dog style.

Boat Launch Conditions: Boat launching is open for private boats.
