Good Bluefin Tuna fishing continues on the overnight and 1.5 day trips. The Endeavor returned from a one day trip Wednesday with 60 Bluefin, 2 Dorado and 1 Opah. The Cortez on a 1.5 day had 50 Bluefin for 22 anglers.
Captains are recommending 40 pound line for these Bluefin which are 30 to 60 pound fish. Jig fisherman are also getting bit using chrome jigs such as Salas 6x jr. and Tady 9's

8-6-2013Captain Mike Bullard of the Pacific Star just called in with 60 Bluefin for their morning of fishing. Conditions offshore are very nice and from what Mike reported two of our other boats the Aztec and the Cortez were both on good stops with plenty of Bluefin coming over the rail. Captain Mikey of the Aztec just called in with an update of his own. They are currently on a stop for 50 Bluefin and they still have fish hanging. ...... Read More

8/5/13 10:00am UPDATE The Pride just called in from their One Day Trip with limits of 40-60 pound bluefin for 17 anglers. A great start to the week after a tough weekend! 9:00am Captain RJ of the New Seaforth just called in with 5 Yellowtail between 20 and 30 pounds and 2 Halibut both of which were over 20 pounds as well. Conditions have improved drastically over the last several days so look for the local fish counts to improve throughout...... Read More
