These fantastic shots are from today's docking September 3rd. The fishing took place on a 2.5 day trip fishing September 1st and 2nd.
The fishing charter was put together by Mr. Ed Henan from Arizona. There were 31 anglers and all had a great time.
We departed San Diego at 8:40 pm Saturday night and stopped at the San Diego bait receivers for bait and a Safety/Fishing talk from Captain Scott McDaniels. In the morning we started fishing about 107 miles from Pt. Loma. at 2:pm Sunday we had our first taste of good fishing with a kelp paddy loaded with Yellowtail, Bluefin, Yellowfin Tuna, a few Dorado and two Skipjack. The 2nd day we woke up a 172 miles below Point Loma. 2 hours after a nice breakfast we score big on another kelp paddy. After cleaning up the boat and getting our lines all in order again the Next big hit was only one hour away! It was a sonar school on Captain Scott's electronics. We heard over the PA system "Get Ready Gang This IS Going To Be Big!!" Then we heard "Chum-line CHUM-Line!!!" Seconds later the entire group was bent over line an umbrella! Anglers running up and down the rail following their fish! Loud yells of "HOOK-UP, FRESH ONE, and Boil" It was game on~! We truly had a boat load of fun and a boat load of fish!
