NEW LO-AN has 150 mixed Bluefin and Yellowfin to 45lbs as of 12:25 P.M.
This morning we had the EL DORADO return from their 1.5 day trip with 32 anglers catching 179 Yellowtail, 16 Bluefin Tuna, 18 Yellowfin Tuna and 39 Dorado. Weather was good and the fish cooperated well. Seems as though the fish get closer to home daily. They have 23 open Spots for tonight's 1.5 day leaving at 9:00 P.M. Cost is $340.00 including the Mexican permit.
The MISSION BELLE is having a stellar day out there offshore today, Capt. Steve just called in with 50+ Yellowtail and 1 Dorado as of 12:15 P.M.!!! Trips leave daily @ 6:00 A.M. and return @ 6:00 P.M. Adults are $105.00 with the Mexican permit included. Rental Tackle is available for $15.00 per person. Photo I.D. required for all passengers of all ages.
DAILY DOUBLE is targeting Rockfish and Bass. Trips Monday-Friday are 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. On Saturdays and Sundays we still offer the morning and afternoon run from 6:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Adults are $45.00, the required state license is $14.61 for the day and rental tackle is available for $13.00 per person.
??Watch for the POINT LOMA'S limited load offshore 3/4-day trips scheduled through out the month. These trips are limited to 20 people, fishing offshore for Tuna, Yellowtail and Dorado. These trips will be trolling, paddy hopping and looking for schools on the electronics. Trips leave @ 5:30 A.M. and return @ 5:30 P.M. Cost is $140.00 per person. Rental tackle is available for $15.00 per person. Photo I.D. required for all passengers of all ages. Unfortunately on these limited load trips, No ticket books, military tickets or discounted rates apply.
??*BLUEFIN TUNA TACKLE*
??On these schools of tuna, DO NOT BOTHER WITH LINE LIGHTER THAN 30LB TEST. You want to have at least one rig with 50-60lb line and it wouldn't hurt to maybe have an 80lb rig. Hooks can be 2/0-5/0 and paired with fluorocarbon will be your best bet at landing these not so gentle giants. 2 speed reels can make a world of difference. If your trip is overnight or longer, plan tackle accordingly.

NO COOLERS OR ICE CHEST OF ANY KIND OR SIZE ON ANY VESSEL IN OUR FLEET. FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT??IN A GROCERY BAG OR BACK PACK OR PURCHASED IN THE GALLEY ON BOARD.
NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL OR GLASS BOTTLES ALLOWED. ALL BOATS HERE ARE LICENSED FOR BEER SALES. ALUMINUM OR PLASTIC??CONTAINERS ARE FINE.
IF YOUR TRIP FISHES IN MEXICO, PHOTO I.D. REQUIRED FOR ALL PASSENGERS OF ALL AGES.

??DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, BOOK NOW AND SECURE YOUR SPOT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE AND THE FISHING EXPLODES. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM LATELY. THE EARLY FISHERMEN GET THE TUNA.

9-5-2013We cannot stress the advice of big tackle hard enough. The NEW LO-AN returned this morning with 2 fish weighing in OVER 120LBS!!!!!! In addition to those gorilla sized monsters, they had some smaller fish in the 50-70lb range as well. Markus and the New Lo-An returned this morning with another successful catch of large grade bluefin. Average fish were 50 pounders. Some as large as 80 pounds! The 1.5 day trip ended up with 60 of these bluefin for the 21 anglers onboard. There's still plenty of fish around, with reports of yellowfin coming up the line. Spaces are available on all boats.
