CATFISH

1,000 lbs. of catfish will be stocked this week bringing the season total to 5,000 lbs.! Anglers are catching catfish in the back of Hermit Cove and in Siesta Cove off of mackerel and shrimp.

BASS

Fish for largemouth bass during night fishing with dark colored baits. Popular locations for fishing at night are Shadow Cove and along Half Moon Cove shoreline.

PANFISH

Anglers are landing buckets of bluegill this week! Shadow Cove and Hermit Cove are the top producing locations. Wax worms and night crawlers continue to be the favorite baits.

FISH REPORTS

CATCHES OF THE WEEK

Frankie Ortiz made catfish nuggets from his catches this weekend! He also reeled in many bluegill from Siesta Cove.

Roy and his cousin Carol Morgan caught a total of 9 panfish off of night crawlers. The pair fished by boat along Hermit Cove buoy line and Shadow Cove. The largest fish (redear) weighed in at 1.5 lbs.

Best Trout Spots: T-dock, Hermit Cove buoy line
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Power Bait, night crawlers
Best Bass Spots: Sentry Point, Siesta Cove, Half Moon Cove
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Drop shot
Best Catfish Spots: Siesta Cove
Best Catfish Bait: Mackerel, Mack Baits
Best Pan fish Spot: Shadow Cove
Best Panfish Lures/Bait: Meal worms and night crawlers.

CAMPGROUND CORNER

Enjoy a hike on one of our many scenic trails! Pets are welcome on the Flume Trail as well as along the road to the Campground. The lake loop is 5.5 miles long and takes you along the coves and hillsides with breathtaking views!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The lake will be open for boating, fishing, and family fun every day in July! Free private boat launch on Tuesdays in July (excluding July 4th)! Hours of Operation (July 1st– July 31st): Sunday-Thursday 6 a.m. –7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday 6 a.m. – midnight.

The Catfish Reopener is set for July 21st-23rd! 2,000 lbs. of Catfish will be stocked for this event! Boats available on a first come, first served basis.
