WINTER BREAK & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The trout bite has been steady, today there were some large schools of trout spotted and limits have been reported out of Sentry Cove and Shadow Cove! Mini jigs still seem to be the easiest to catch on. Using natural colored jigs in brown and green is your best bet! 1,500 lbs. were stocked last Friday and we get another 1,500 lbs next week!

Want to bring your boat out on Tuesday? Launch fees are on us! LJ will have Free Boat Launches on Tuesday, January 2nd!

The bass bite has been on the slower side lately, with just a few smaller ones reported caught on purple punisher colored drop shot.

If you're looking for cats, try inflated garlic nightcrawlers. Some early morning cats were reported out of Half Moon Cove this week.

Don't forget if you join us for fishing starting on Monday, January 1st you will need a new CA state fishing license if you are 16 or over.

Also, adult lake fishing permit fees will be going up to $9 per day for Adults and $8 per day for Seniors (65+) and Active Duty Military beginning January 1.

Winter Break, is a great time to take advantage of the lake being open for boating and fishing everyday from now through Sunday, January 7th. The Bait & Tackle Shop hours are 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and campground hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 3rd is Kid's Day! Bring your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, or your neighbors kiddos out to catch a trout from the Kid's Pond! This is only one of two times each year that the trout pond goes in. All kiddos under 10 get to fish in the pond until the trout run out!
