Bass fishing was good last week, with most anglers reporting 10 to 20 fish days. The largemouth are scattered 5' to 25' and have been biting drop shot, fly-lined plastics, as well as rip baits, small swimbaits and glide baits. The average size bass was close to 3lbs, with big fish for the week going to Jake Evans of Lakeside, who landed a 7.5 on a senko. Bluegill still biting well here, although the average size has droipped to around 3/4 pound. Nightcrawlers were the preferred bait, and the back of Barona arm, the chimney and the toll road arm have been the best locations for the panfish.
