Our final Night Fishing event went great! Phoaxy (top left) caught these catfish out of Lake 2 on mealworms. The Khaleck’s (top right) caught these catfish out of Lake 3 on mackerel. George (bottom left) caught this catfish out of Lake 4 on shrimp. Jeremiah (bottom right) caught this catfish out of Lake 3 on mackerel.
Join us October 6th and 7th for our annual Stockzlilla event! Lakes 1 through 7 will be stocked with five hundred pounds of catfish each! Tagged fish will be stocked in every lake along with surprise giveaways! No California state license will be required but a Santee Lakes fishing permit will be.
Lake lowdown.
Avg. Water Temp: 81.6°F

The catfish bite remains consistent with many reports of fish being caught on mealworms and mackerel. The bass bite remains phenomenal with many reports of fish being caught on topwater baits such as frogs and buzzbaits. Bluegill have been seen along the shorelines in high numbers. Popular baits for bluegill include mealworms and wax worms.
