Catching the Spotlight
Another great week of fishing! Adam (top left) caught this largemouth out of Lake 4 on a buzzbait. Ryder (top right) caught this 5 pound largemouth out of Lake 5 on a nightcrawler. Malcom (bottom left) caught this 3.5 pound catfish out of Lake 4 on shrimp. George (bottom right) caught these catfish out of Lake 4 on shrimp. Join us for our last Night Fishing event of the summer on August 23rd, 2018 at 5:00 PM. Lanterns are required and radios will not be permitted. No state license required. Lakes 1 through 4 only. Our next scheduled stock will be on Friday August 24th, 2018 of 1,000 pounds of catfish split between two lakes.
Lake lowdown
Avg. Water Temp: 80.4°F
Water Clarity: 8 ft.
The bass bite remains consistent with many reports of fish being caught on shad imitation baits. The catfish seem to be more active in the early mornings or late evenings. Popular baits for catfish this week have been shrimp and chicken liver. Bluegill have been seen along the shorelines. Popular bait for bluegill have been wax worms or meal worms.
