Night fishing will be held every Friday and Saturday nights until the end of August. A limited amount of shoreline will provide fishing from shore until 11:45 p.m. Boats can be rented starting at 5 p.m. and must in by 10:45 p.m. Motorboats with trolling motors can be rented for $20.00 and rowboats for $12.00.
The catfish action was very good from the shoreline mainly along the Boat Dock Cove area on cut mackerel. Trout Cove and the Buoy line have been producing good numbers of cats too. The cats have been in the 1 to 2-pound range with some larger fish in the 2 to 4-pound range thrown into the mix. The LAST STOCK of the season is slated for August 28???the final 2000 pounds of catfish.
August 30 will be the final night of the night fishing season. Come give it a try before it's all over with.
We are seeing some nice Bluegill being taken all around the lake. The fish are on the move, so just work your way around until you can locate a school of them. Meal worms are working well.
No big bass to report this week. We did see a few nice fish caught and released by those working the edges of the grass beds surrounding the lake.
