Still waiting for the surface action to really turn on here, thought there have been some reports of schools chasing small silversides during mid morning hours. Good news is that there is a solid finesse bit in the evening in approximately 35’ to 40’ of water. Drop shooting have been the preferred technique, followed but the new rig etc. As far as panfish, there have been a lot of anglers seeing large red ear in the weed lines, but have been a bit reluctant to chew. At the moment the bluegill bite has subsided to just a few small fish. Catfish went unreported to the concession last week.

Top waters, and small swimbaits have been working for these fish. Later in the day, drop shotting on the outside of grass edges has been the ticket. San Vicente ReservoirIn the early am hours, look for the bass up on the bank. Most reaction baits have been working on these fish. Later on its been a finesse bite in the 25’ to 35’ of water all over the lake. Drop shot, ned rig, etc. all produced this past week.
