This week we’re starting to see the fish prepare their beds and males are getting aggressive. The water level rose from all fo the rain, yet we are seeing fish more out of the deep water and more so along the coast. Black and watermelon senkos fished weightless has been a favorite. Robo worms or albino (tiny) flukes seem to work as well fished on a dropshot. For bait fisherman, both small and medium sized shiners have been working for bass (small ones for Crappie).

Lower Otay ReservoirBass fishing has been getting pretty good, some of the guys feel like the bass fishing is about to turn on. Some bass seem to be moving up closer to shore. Drop shot rigs seem to produce the most. Crappie fishing is very good with a few limits showing up. Belt channels are biting near the buoy line and have been shown up in Bushlow Cove.
