The catfish bite remains solid and should pick up considerably over the Fourth of July weekend thanks to Friday’s scheduled plant. We have recently expanded our bait options to include catfish bait. We now offer frozen; chicken liver, mackerel, and anchovies.

There has been a notable increase in the number of largemouth bass being caught. Tom Campbell of Escondido caught & released a 7.80# bass early Saturday morning in Boat Dock Cove fishing top water with a plastic frog. Bass can be found around structure and respond well to dark colored plastics.
