Captain Andrew Viola from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA called in a wrap up report from a 1.5 Day trip that returned this morning.

We spent the majority of the day focusing on Bluefin and ended up putting together a really nice trip. We ended up with limits of Bluefin Tuna for our  30 passengers onboard and 2 Yellowfin Tuna. The average size of the Bluefin was around 25 pounds or so and the Yellowfin were between 20 and 45 pounds.

Most effective way to get a bite has been the fly line with 25 and 30 pounds with a number 1-number 2  hook. We did get a couple of bites on the jig and some on the heavier 40-55 pound line.

Next 3 trips are private charters but we have some openings on Tuesday, August 18 for a 1.5 Day and Sunday August 23 for a 1.5 Day.
