The bass bite was good last week, finesse techniques fished in 20’ of water was the ticket to success. most of the largemouth are in the 1.5-2 pound range with the occasional 5 pounder coming in as well. Big fish for the week was caught by the concession staffer Christian Leon who tipped his person best to 7.5 lbs. on a senko. Some of the lakes target bluegill have begun to show as most people targeting them has a half dozen or more for these efforts. Catfish went unreported to the concession last week.

The Bass Are Biting Well
San Vicente ReservoirThe bass are biting well here, most of the fish coming on finesse antis fished anywhere from 1’ to 25’ of water all over the ales. The majority are cookie cutter bucks in the 1.5-2.5 pound range, with the occasional 4-6 pound large coming in as well. San Vicente ReservoirThe bass bite was good here last week, as more fish move up on the bank. Finesse techniques produced fish in the 1.5-3 pound range all over the lake with a few larger fish reported in 20 to 25 feet of water. Easter Sunday saw the panfish bite start to develop with bluegill to 1.5 pounds reported to the concession last week. Drop shot nightcrawlers was key for the ‘gills.
