  • Stocking:  With the LAST trout stocking of 1,500 lbs., we've stocked a total of 19,000 pounds of rainbow trout this season. Information about catfish season will be released soon!
  • What's the catch? Trout limits were caught in Hermit Cove this weekend. Although trout stocking has concluded, trout will continue to bite in deeper waters like Hermit Cove buoy line or off the end of the T-dock. Keep some powerbait and mini jigs handy! Bass activity continues to be stable from shore. Swimbaits and Brush Hog were reeling them in. Redears were biting this weekend from the campground shoreline and Eagle Cove. Wax worms were the bait of choice. No reports of catfish bite, but stay tuned for information about stocking.
  • Private Boat Launching: As a reminder, personal watercraft, inflatable rafts, sailboats, amphi-cars, and waders are prohibited at Lake Jennings as dictated by our recreation permit through the Dept. of Health, Division of Drinking Water. All private boats launched at the lake must have a solid transom and deck in addition to a discernible bow/hull. No bathrooms on board please. Thank you for complying with these specifications, so we can continue to offer fishing and boating at Lake Jennings.
  • WE'RE HIRING! We are currently hiring for two positions at Lake Jennings. The first is for a Recreation Ranger to provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding fishing and boating while working in the bait and tackle shop. This position also maintains security and compliance with lake regulations on busy weekends and identifies and other duties as needed. We are also hiring an Assistant Maintenance Ranger to maintain the cleanliness and security of the campground, lake, and surrounding areas. This position patrols the facility and enforces rules and regulations in a positive manner as well as provides facility maintenance and landscape work as needed at the campground and lake.   • Fireside at the Lake: We have availability for our firepit rentals this Friday, April 30th and next Friday, May 7th. The base price for a firepit is $48 for 4 people. Advanced reservations are required. Rentals include firepit, wood, firestarter, and Adirondack chairs. Ask about our add on packages! Firepits are available for single households only, 4-6 persons.   • Conditions: The aerator has been turned on for the season, so as the water circulates the temps in the water column will level out. Transparency is 33 feet. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
