Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca. Fishing continues to be good all over the lake. We have had some of the clouds and wind, but not much of the "marine layer" that you see at the beach.

Trout Bait: Nightcrawlers and Power bait, Black Wooly Bugger
Best Spots: Dyke area, South end, Lone Pine, West finger jetty
Notables:

- Craig and Sheila Richards of Temecula. Caught 10 trout with one 5 pounder, on Rainbow Power bait at the Dyke area.
- Vincent Santiago of San Diego caught 1 Bass weighing 6.5 pounds on a plastic lure.
- Eric Winterholder of Santee caught 5 trout, including one 3 pounder on Chartreuse Power Bait.
- Ed Dametewicz of Carlsbad caught 2 trout with the largest one 2 pounds on a nightcrawler in the middle of the lake.
- Eric Szyllke of San Diego and Lescele Murews of El Cajon caught 10 trout with one weighing in at 5 pounds on Rainbow Power Bait at Kitchen Cove.
- Mark Hedderson caught a 3 1/2 pound trout on a black wooly bugger at Lone Pine.
- Kim Hunter of San Diego caught a 49 1/2 pound, 51" long sturgeon on a night crawler and cheese at the West Finger Jetty.

The fishing has been very good this past week. All over the lake. The thunder and lightning that was over most of the County this week never materialized up here. Some clouds and wind but that's all.
