- Stocking: The last stocking of 1,000 lbs. was the week of August 23rd. The next catfish stocking will be this week! Another 1,000 pounds will go into the lake for a total of 8,000 pounds so far this season. After this week's stocking, there are only 2 more stockings left in the catfish season. For an updated stocking schedule, click HERE. Stay tuned for information about trout opening weekend.
- What's the catch? Bass are biting! The best place to catch bass is from the t-dock around twilight. Multiple anglers reported bass bites in areas around the t-dock as well, Siesta Point and Cove. The bait of choice was shiners. Catfish bites were reported along the buoy line near Shadow Cove at night. They were biting on nightcrawlers and mackerel. If the cats aren't biting for you try using a lunker spray on your tackle to remove your scent from your gear. That might be just the edge you need to encourage some action! Sunfish were biting from depths of 10-15 feet. Limits were caught in Hermits Cove this weekend on meal worms.
- Conditions: The current temperature is 78 degrees. New Moon is October 6th. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
- Fireside by the Lake: Firepit rentals are available this Friday night from 6-9 p.m. Gather up to 6 people, friends or family, around a lakeside firepit for $72.
