LAKE POWAY TROUT SEASON

BOAT DOCK IS OPEN AND FISHING AND RENTAL BOATS ARE AVAILABLE  

Lake Poway stocked 2,000 lbs. of trout on Friday December 3rd. Opening day and throughout the weekend had many full-stringers and limits caught.  Many of the trout were in the 4lb. range.  The boats did good on Friday and the shoreline did great on the weekend with a lot of success using PowerBait, mini-jigs, and night-crawlers. The next stock will be December 16th of 1,500 lbs.  There were also a good amount of catfish caught along with the trout, as they tend to also bite on the PowerBait.
