LAKE POWAY TROUT SEASON

BOAT DOCK IS OPEN AND FISHING AND RENTAL BOATS ARE AVAILABLE  

The next stock will be December 16th of 1,500 lbs. of rainbow trout.  Opening week had a great bite with many full limits of good sized trout caught and there were also a good amount of catfish caught along with the trout. With boats down during catfish season there are still a lot of catfish out in the lake and are being caught off the boats.  The trout have been biting best off the shoreline by the fishing pier and Half Moon Bay.  PowerBait, mini-jigs and nightcrawlers have been the best baits.
