The worm bite was good this week for bass. Anglers reported catches around 30 feet deep and also tight up against the banks. The crappie bite keeps getting better and better each week. With the warmer weather and the sun shining the bluegill were more active and solid reports as well.

This is gong to be an epic crappie season here at Lower Otay Reservoir! Considering we didn’t have much of a crappie season last year, its pretty exciting. The majority of bass reports are coming out of a concentrated area of Harvey’s Arm this week. There are still consistent crappie reports coming from North Point, the Olympic training dock area and Harvey’s Arm. The bluegill are still biting but at much deeper depths.
