Sorry for the late update from last weekends trip. We ended up with one bluefin and sixteen yellowtail. Slow on the bluefin front for us, we struggled with getting the proper gear in the water at the most opportune times. Please make sure you guys are brining your heavy gear on these next few trips. The majority of what we saw out there was 60-80 lbers and 100-150 lbers. Most of the action was in the dark and late afternoon. We saw some very nice schools that stuck around but dumped a few too many on the lighter tackle. We are recommending that you bring at least one 60 lb sinker rig setup as well as an 80+ rig for fishing heavy flatfalls and knife jigs in the dark, and when the captain says "fish the heavy gear only" don't put the 30 and 40 lb sinker rigs in the water! #bluefin #tuna #sportfishing #tribute #biggame #yellowtail #sandiego #localfishing #seaforth #knifejig #flatfall
