The grass is starting to come in all over lake, creating some good top water action. The finesse bite has been productive in 20' to 25' of water as well. Bluegill made a good showing, with most anglers getting fish to 2.5lbs. Drop shotting meal worms or red worms around submerged trees has been key. Red ear have tapered off, and no catfish were reported to the concession last week

Water Temperature: 74 degrees

The bass bite was fair to good last week, fish have been in the 1.5 lb. to 2.5 lb. range. Finesse techniques fished in 5’ to 30’ of water worked for the most. In the PM hours there has been a bit of a reaction bite developing. Small swimbaits, flukes, and a rigs produced. The bass bite has remained steady on finesse baits fished in 15' to 20' of water all over the lake. Most of the fish are in the 1.5lb. to 3lb. range, with the occasional 4lb. to 5lber. showing as well. Bluegill have yet to show in any numbers, although there's been some nice red ear showing in the toll road arm. Catfish went unreported to the concession last week.
