  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,000 pounds the week of July 4th. The next stocking of 1,000 pounds will be the week of July 25th. The catfish stocking schedule can be viewed HERE.
  • What's the catch? The water temps are warming and the fish are a bit lethargic during the day. The catfish bite was good Friday evening with limits pulled from Cloister and Hermit Cove. Mackerel continues to be the bait of choice. The Bluegill bite seemed to be exclusively in Half Moon Cove this weekend. Fish the shallow areas with vegetation. A piece of nightcrawler or meal worm should encourage a bite. Don't sleep on the bass! The campground shoreline and Half Moon Cove are good bass spots especially early morning and late evening. They tend to bite on plastics or top water lures in our lake. Try casting out past the structure. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • Conditions: The surface temperature around the boat dock is 79 degrees. The sun is rising around 5:45 a.m. and setting around 8:00 p.m. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • JULY HOURS: We will be open at the lake on Mondays and Thursdays, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the month of July in addition to our regular weekend hours. Boat rentals and launches will be available.
  • Please remember...Lake Jennings is a drinking water reservoir and no body contact is permitted. Do not enter the water at any time. Keep cool by soaking a bandana in water and draping it over your neck or forehead. Mist your clothing and wear light colors. Thank you for your cooperation!
  • Campground: The campground opens for long term reservations in September. It's never too early to book a campsite for 30 nights or more! If you would like more information about long term camping visit our website HERE.
  • The pavilion is open every weekend during kiosk hours. The pavilion has picnic tables, ping pong and foosball tables. Paddles and balls are available for check out at the campground kiosk. Game on!
