Lots of silversides on the banks, and in the early morning there have been some breaking fish on them. Open water action has been sparse, but should get better as the season begins to change. As usual, finesse fishing in 25' to 35' has been steady throughout the day. The bluegill bite seems to be done for the now, and there were no reports of catfish to the concession last week.

The bass population is finally starting to key in on the silversides. Look for breaking fish on the banks early, and open water in the later a.m. hours. In the mid day, most of the biters coming out 25' to 35' on finesse baits. Still some small bluegill showing, but they seem to be about done for the season. Not much has changed here from the week before, most of the biters have come on finesse techniques fished in 20' to 30' of water all over the lake. A lot of silversides on the banks, but only a couple of sightings of breaking fish in open water so far. Look for this bite to develop soon! Still some smaller bluegill showing for anglers drop shooting red worms, and night crawlers. Any catfish action went unreported to the concession last...... Read More
