Tuesday Bluefin Updates
The San Diego ended their day today with 12 Yellowtail and 50 Bluefin for their 34 anglers. Captain Matt recommended having a 25-30# flyline setup, a 40-50# setup for casting dart style jigs and a 60-80# rig for fishing the sinker rig if you're coming out fishing soon.
The Pacifica just checked in with 11 Bluefin and 30 Yellowtail for their 1.5 Day trip. The Bluefin are 60-150lbs!
The San Diego just checked in from their Full Day with 12 Bluefin from 20-40lbs. Captain Matt reported that the 30-40# flyline setup was working best.
Returning Trips
The Aztec returned from their 2 Day with 48(limits) Bluefin for their 12 anglers. They have one standout weighing in at 160 pounds with rest in the 50-80 pound range. The Aztec has availability on their 1.5 and 2 Day trips the first week of May. With the great fishing and nice weather trips are selling out fast. Be sure to make your reservations.
The Polaris Supreme also returned from a 2 Day this morning with limits of Bluefin Tuna from 40-150lbs! The average grade of fish is excellent. There are some opportunities at the 100-150lb fish, so be sure to come prepared.
Upcoming Trips
The Tribute is a definite run for their 1.5 Day departing tonight! They had good numbers of Bluefin on their last outing and it only seems to be getting better out there.
The Pacifica also has spots available for their 1.5 Day departing Wednesday night. They returned Sunday morning with limits of Bluefin for their 21 anglers and are looking to do the same on today's trip.
