The lake is currently closed on weekdays, but remains open on the weekends. We will re-open for weekday fishing in mid-December following the first trout stock. We are closing a half an hour earlier due to the shorter days

Largemouth bass can be found lurking around structure. They respond well to crawdads, shad raps, and dark colored plastics.
Crappie are being caught at the Crappie Float in the early morning hours. They are most often caught on mini-jigs or live golden shiners.
Catfish are active at both ends of the lake. They are partial to shrimp, chicken liver, and cut mackerel.

Largemouth bass can be found lurking around structure. Rod Kiar of Valley Center caught & released an 8.00# bass in Boat Dock Cove. The bass feed mostly on shad, bluegill, and crawdads. Crappie are still being caught at the Crappie Float and by boaters trolling, or drifting, for them. They are most often caught on mini-jigs or live golden shiners.
