The lake is currently closed on weekdays, but remains open on the weekends. We will re-open for weekday fishing in mid-December following the first trout stock.
Largemouth bass can be found lurking around structure. Kaz Kondo of Temecula caught and released an 8.70# bass Sunday using a Klash9 swimbait.
Fall has typically been the best time for catching large catfish here at Lake Wohlford. Chris Cordova of Oceanside caught and released an 18.30# catfish on Senior Shoreline using chicken liver over the weekend.

We will re-open for weekday fishing in mid-December following the first trout stock.   Largemouth bass can be found in and amongst the reed beds or patrolling the rock piles. They respond well to crawdads, shad raps, and dark colored plastics.   Crappie are still being caught at the Crappie Float in the early morning hours.
