The lake will be open for boating and fishing daily beginning next Monday. Take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle at the lake during Winter Break!

Stocking: Another 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho was stocked last week. DFW brought us 700 pounds of trout this week. The next stocking from Idaho comes the week of December 23rd, just in time for winter break! So far, 6,700 pounds of trout have been stocked this season.

What’s the Catch? Limits of trout were pulled in Hermit Cove 1 & 2 and Eagle Point. We heard golden spoons, orange Hookup Bait with gold flake, and nightcrawlers were reeling them in. Fishing the shallows was the way to go last weekend. Bass were biting on natural colored lures from the southeast shoreline and Half Moon Cove. There were reports of panfish and catfish from the t-dock. Both were reeled in on worms. The channel between the tower buoy line and the t-dock was also active for catfish.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 65 degrees. The district has suspended the lake fill for now and the aerator has been turned off. The sun is rising at 6:45 a.m. and setting at 4:45 p.m. The new moon is on Monday, December 30th.
