Stocking: Another 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho was stocked last week. The next stocking from Idaho comes next week. So far, 10,000+ pounds of trout have been stocked between Idaho and DFW. Ten percent of every stock from Idaho is over 3 pounds. Trout season will conclude mid-April.

What’s the Catch? With the stocking last week, the trout were restless! The dockhands saw limits in Cloister Cove and more were pulled from Hermit Cove. Brown mini jigs and inflated nightcrawlers were reeling them in. Bass were biting on Texas rig and black Senkos as well as mini jigs. We’ve seen lots of bass caught around the boat dock and south of the t-dock. Catfish were pulled in by boat near the tower buoy line. They were biting on dip baits and mackerel.No reports of panfish last weekend. 

Conditions: The current water temperature is 59 degrees near the dock. The sun is rising at 6:50 a.m. and setting at 5:06 p.m. The next new moon is January 29th. Join us on the 25th for New Moon Fishing!
