Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout last week. The next stocking of 1,500 pounds will be the week of March 3rd. So far, the lake has been stocked with over 13,000 pounds of trout from Idaho. Trout season will continue through April.

What’s the Catch?  It’s no secret that the bass bite was epic last weekend! The big girls are getting ready to spawn and were spotted along the shoreline. Sounds like at least a couple of DD bass came out of Half Moon Cove. We heard swimbaits were the way to go. Not to be outdone by the bass, the trout bite was excellent last weekend as well. Limits were pulled on Rapalas, Powerbait, inflated nightcrawlers, all the usual suspects. Anglers reported that the trout were DEEP about 40-50 feet. Night fishing brought out the catfish bite on Saturday. Catfish were reported all over the lake. One fisherman reeled in a 10-pounder by boat. Mackerel and dip baits were tried and true.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 57 degrees near the dock. The water column is well oxygenated and conditions are good for trout. Lake elevation is at 695 feet. The sun is rising at 6:18 a.m. and setting at 5:44 p.m.
