The trout bite has picked up along senior shoreline and that trend should continue with next week’s plant. They are catching trout on garlic scented powerbait and inflated nightcrawlers There are two trout plants still remaining in the season.
Largemouth bass can be found lurking around structure. The bass are chasing swimbaits, crawdads, and dark colored plastics.
Catfish can be found throughout the lake but are particularly active at either end. Lake Wohlford cats prefer mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver.
Crappie can be found underneath the crappie float or suspended deep at the west buoy line. Crappie are most often caught using live golden shiners or crappie jigs. The best chances to catch them from shore are pre-dawn or under overcast conditions.
