How's it going everyone! Angel caught this catfish during our Stockzilla weekend! Solid catch! If you missed out on the action this weekend don't worry. We stocked lakes 2-7 with 3,500 lbs. of catfish in total split amongst the lakes and there are still plenty of catfish to be caught. Stockzilla was our last time stocking catfish for this season so if you want to get in on a bit more catfish action I'd do it sooner rather than later!
The bass bite has been mostly consistent, maybe a touch slower than usual. Morning bite or evening bite has still been the best. Surface temps have been slowly dropping and are now sitting between 74 - 78 degrees. The water visibility has been dropping also so keep that in mind when choosing your baits. Topwater baits, senkos, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and nightcrawlers have all been seeing success for bass.
With catfish season behind us we are now getting ready for trout season! The trout opener will be on Nov. 1st and 2nd. We will be stocking 3,500 lbs. of trout split up between the lakes. The exact lakes are still to be determined. Along with the usual rainbow trout, we will also be stocking golden rubies, and steelhead trout. All these fish will be coming from Jess Ranch. The entire stocking schedule for trout season is posted in this fish report further below. Mark your calendars and get ready!
Lake Lowdown
Average Water Temperature: 74 - 78°F
