DFG DELIVERED TROUT THIS WEEK

Fishing has been excellent this past week with trout and crappie limits being taken regularly. There is plenty of wildlife to watch, if you are not into fishing. The deer are thick in the meadows and the babies are starting to be born. Please watch for the deer on and along the highway on your way to the Lake. The trees are leafed out and the weather has turned warmer, finally.

Best Trout Bait: Power bait, nightcrawlers, salmon eggs,
Best Lure: Panther Martin
Best Spots: Trolling, Buoy Line, Pumphouse Cove, and Lone Pine

Notables
(1) Hank of San Diego caught a 5 pound trout and 25 crappie.
(2) Pele Mills of Descanso caught his limit of trout, the largest at 3 pounds on a Rooster Tail, trolling in 2 hours.
(3) Tom Webb of Descanso caught his limit of trout, the largest at 1.8 pounds on a Rooster tail in 2 hours.
(4) Bill Hanson of Lakeside and Gary Hanson of Green Bay WI caught their limit of trout at the Buoy Line. Total weight was 11 pounds.
(5) Bill Mace of Spring Valley caught his limits of trout, blue gill and crappie at Pumphouse Cove using power bait.
(6) Michael Mace of Spring Valley caught his limits of trout and crappie. the largest trout was 2 pounds. He used power bait and night crawlers at Pumphouse Cove.
(7) Tyler Gray and Peter Mills of Descanso caught 5 trout for a total of 8 pounds using a Panther Martin in the center of the Lake.
(8) Dale and Gunnar Dahlstrom of La Mesa each caught their limit of trout using power bait and night crawlers at Lone Pine in 4 hours.
(9) Three generations of the Ryder family of Lakeside caught their limit of trout, weighing a total of 13 pounds at Pumphouse Cove.
(10) Steve Storm of Palm Desert caught 2 trout, weighing 6 pounds and 5 pounds using Rainbow Power Bait at Pumphouse cove.
(11) Andre Person and Josephine of san Diego caught their limits of trout and crappie in 3 1/2 hours at Pumphouse Cove and the Boat Dock. They were using chartreuse power bait and white crappie jigs.
(12) Dom Wallis of San Diego caught his limit of trout, the largest a 3 pounder using Rainbow Power bait at Lone Pine.
(13) Dylan and Tanner Medrud of San Diego caught 3 trout using power bait at The Point.

The Free fishing class is held every Saturday at 10:00 am. Meet Ranger Charlie at the launch ramp.

THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS AND MOTORS BEFORE A LAUNCH. ALSO, FLOAT TUBES AND WADERS MUST BE WASHED DOWN BEFORE USING THE LAKE. THERE IS A FEE FOR THE WASH DOWN.
