Fishing has been excellent again this past week. The wildlife is abundant near the Lake. Please watch for deer on and along the highway on your way to the Lake.

Best Trout Bait: Power bait and nightcrawlers

Best Lure: Gold Kastmaster

Best Spots: Lone Pine, Pumphouse cove, North finger jetty

Notables: Brian Hale of Lakeside caught his limit of trout on nightcrawlers at Lone Pine.

The free fishing class is held every Saturday at 10:00 am. Meet Ranger Charlie at the launch ramp. The decontamination wash down is required for all private vessels an motors before a launch. Also, float tubes and waders must be washed down before using the lake. There is a fee for the wash down. GREETINGS FROM LAKE CUYAMACA HAPPY MOTHERS DAY THE TACKLE SHOP IS OPEN EVERYDAY 6AM TO 6 PM SHORE FISHING GOES UNTIL 7:30 Fishing has been super all over the lake this week. The weather has cooperated and since we are pumping water from the East Lake the trout just love it. Pumphous Cove is the place to be.
