Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: ?? The stocking last week from Mt. Lassen and D.F.G. Mohave Hatchery has the trout?? inventory up, very promising for the trout anglers.?? With water temps the Trout are early morning and late afternoon- evening bite. The Channel Catfish are continuing?? to bite with some large ones keeping things interesting.?? Crappie are making a strong showing around the docks and shorelines. Bullhead catfish are very aggressive??in seeking out?? your night crawler on the bottom.!?????? !!!! BULLHEAD-A-THON catch the most Bullheads for a prize!!!!
!!! We now have???? 3 NEW SLEEPING CABINS?? for rent!!! ??**call for information.**
Trout Bait: 20-24 inch leader off the bottom inflated night crawler smeared with scent, Power Bait,?? salmon eggs.???? (Pautzkes Krill gel or liquid Krill scent)
Best Trout Lures: Gold/yellow-orange Panther Martins and Rooster Tails. Use scent!?? (Krill gel works best)
Best Trout Spots: Lone Pine, Chambers Park, West Shore line by dam buoy line.
Notable: Maria Pres, Hemet, 11lbs 12oz Largemouth, Night crawler, Lone Pine. Cal Mier,?? San Diego, 11lbs 8oz Channel Catfish, Red worm, Launch ramp. Agusting Gonzalez, (age 15), Ramona, 7lbs 8oz Rainbow, Power bait, North Finger Jetty. Cory O'Brian, Lake Forest, 6lbs 4oz Rainbow, and 15lbs Channel, Night crawler, Mackerel, Chambers Park. Jerry O'Malley, Oceanside, 3lbs 12oz Rainbow, Power bait, Power worm, Finger Jetty. Nathan Brito, (age6), Santa Clarita, 3lbs Rainbow, Power bait, Chambers Park.??
Fly Fishing: The hatch in the evening. Emergers, nymphs, and Elk Hair Caddis should produce something besides Crappie which will take just about anything.
Nature Walk: The guided walk will be conducted by Clint Powell July1, 2007.The trail is open for daily use. 3 1/2 miles around the lake.
Free Fishing Class Saturday at 10:AM: ?? Ranger Charlie?? will teach??tried and true trout techniques using?? bait, tube jigs and lures for trout.

Lake CuyamacaGreetings from Lake Cuyamaca: STOCKING?? Mt. Lassen will be stocking 1,200 lbs of?? there finest trout once again this week!!?? Last week 50lbs of trophy trout?? between 8lbs and 12 lbs were stocked. Thanks to a donation by "Dan's Auto Glass"?? four remain!!! Anglers this past week have enjoyed warm weather and limit style action. Full stringer and limit style action should continue through the next few weeks.
