Bill Cavanaugh called in with an update on the Pacific Queen, "It's Thursday evening we just finished up our day of fishing here on the Central Coast Albacore trip. We finished up with 7 Albacore here for our 16 passengers. I saw a pretty fair sign of fish here today, for whatever reason a lot of what I saw did not respond. Our 7 fish came out of 2 stops. What we know is that nothing has been the same since that winter storm came through. There was a pretty good groundswell this morning. It didn't affect the boat, but I know that sometimes a groundswell does affect the fish. The weather was nice, I don't think the wind was over 10 knots. What else, oh yea, there was a full moon last night with clear skies. So there are a lot of different things going on. I'm not writing off the area we just fished because I saw signs of fish. So that's our report, it didn't meet our expectations but we did have a good time on the water and we saw signs of fish.

"Drew Card will be taking the boat out on the next trip. We are going to try a spot 120 miles to the West where we have seen a good strip of water. That Trip will be departing Friday, fishing Saturday. So if you want to go on that trip call Patriot Sportfishing at 805-595-7200, there are only 12 people signed up for that trip right now."

Bill Cavanaugh called in with an update on the Pacific Queen, "We got in from our SportfishingReport.com 1.5 Day Trip on Sunday. I just wanted to give some idea of what we saw, we went up to Sur Canyon. From pictures we saw earlier there was a very defined strip of water that we wanted to fish. However, we could not locate that water, and I became a little concerned. After looking around and seeing a jig boat in the...... Read More
