Winter fishing is still doing great at Lake Morena. Fishing remains consistent with great action on Trout reported from our anglers.

Trout: The Escondido Senior Anglers were visiting this week and were slaying them. Most notable of the group was Jim Davidson, in the main photo with his 6 lb 2 oz rainbow. Followed by Cheryl Brandstrom with a 5 lber as part of her limit. Both used rainbow powerbait. Tito Manning of Julian 6 lber, Kira Jimenez of Campo limited, Tim Garrett from Santee 4 lbs, Dwight Shelley, in photo #1 of Lemon Grove 4 lb 6 oz, Warren Estes from Pauma Valley 2 lb 6 oz all used various shades of powerbait and all were in Paradise cove at one time or other. We missed getting reports from some of you and you know who you are. We like your input.

Carp: Still splashing, they like corn and corn meal balls.

Bass: No action on the Bass lately.

Blue Gill: No action on the Blue Gill here lately.

Crappie: No sign of Crappie this time of year.

Catfish: Nothing reported this week.
