He landed this beauty on power bait from the Buoyline. Seth Maize of Vista coaxed in a 5lb. 14oz. on a black rooster tail from Jack Creek Cove.
Best baits continue to be power worm/power bait combos, night crawlers, power worms, power baits. The best lures have been mini-jigs, Kastmasters, Rooster Tails and Thomas Buoyants. The best results have come from using light line in the 2-4 lb. test line.
Cool water conditions continue to keep the trout close to shore. The hot spots are the Trout Cove, Boat Dock Cove and Jack Creek Cove. Whisker Bay has been hot in the days immediately following a stock.
The next stock will be on Dec. 19th with 1500 pounds of Nebraska Tail Walkers.

All anglers 8 yrs. and older will still need a daily fishing lake permit. All other park rules, fishing regulations and City of Escondido municipal codes will remain in effect.
