Escondido Senior Anglers have a great tournament at Lake Morena & catch 94 rainbows

Lake Conditions: Surface temperature is 46.6 and 46.2 @ 20ft.
Water Clarity: Water visibility is at about 2' to 3'.
** IMPORTANT NOTE** There are currently no state fishing licenses available in the Lake Morena area so be sure you acquire one before you arrive. The State Licenses is required.
Trout The Escondido Senior Anglers were here for their annual tournament and did fairly well. The winner this week was Jim Resser with his 4 lb 8 oz lunker. He was using a nightcrawler/powerbait combo in Paradise cove. Second place went to John Perdue with his 3 lb 11 oz catch using an Orange Pinch Worm. All-in-all they managed 94 healthy Rainbows. Dan Bigboy from Santee fooled a 3 lb 5 ozer with green garlic powerbait off the rocks near the launch ramp.
Bass No Bass were reported this week.
Catfish No cats turned up this week
Bluegill No Pan fish were reported this week.
Crappie The crappie bite has slowed up to zip.
Carp These fish are saving themselves for another time.
